thump noise?

ok so it started like a couple of days ago...and the sound is not loud but it is significant enough for you to hear it in the car. hte thing is, it doesn't happen ALL THE TIME..it happens randomly...

i brake and it makes a single light thump noise coming from the front...iono right or left side though...

i'm guessing it's either the brakes, axle, wheels or ABS system? because when i brake and the sound comes up, i feel the thump (very lightly though) under my right foot.

any ideas? i checked the brake fluid, and the wheels and hte brake (all visually) to see if anything was stuck and what not...now i dont know what might be the problem. thanks guys

Just had the same problem. It's most likely your strut arm bushing. My front end passenger was thumping everytime I stopped. The rubber bushings had disintegrated. Have a shop check your strut arm bushing and sway bar bushing, those were the 2 that went on me

Come'on man - how cheap are we? That bushing cant be more than 5 bucks from the dealer. I had to do this to the prelude once - not only is it cheap, its even easier to put on then driving to the dealer to get it.
