I just paid $600 for upgrading the stereo system. We'll see what happens tomorrow when they get it installed.

i got my shit installed or will tomorrow is the appointment. most of the cost is labor im sick of putting it off so im paying the price... got some fronts and rears and install of the subs and headunit. so full upgrade should sound lot better.

well....the bmw is 26,998 and the jag is 22,998..so it will be worth -3000 hmm....

but the jag has navi and xenon..bmw only have xenons :P..enough hijacking..but im getting it shortly..within a month or two....see the money in my av.....well...thats all for my cl....air ride, system, etc.....once all of that is bought....i need a work/daily driver..which will be one of those...and i just got my annual raise and bonus..so....

 

What kind of speakers did you get? Was it for front and rear? 6 does seem like alot but it depends on what brand you got.

If you have everything, would of been cheaper to do everything yourself. Installing HU, speakers, and running power for sub doesn't take more then a day. I would of installed it for you for 6 bills...hahahaha...

trust me will it wasn't worth it... lol. the pioneers they were selling the 6x9 carbon fiber ones are 199.99 on their shelf... ikesounds.com ebay seller has them for 106 shipped I think. but I didn't get the pioneers. I should have though im just lazy and couldn't wait anylonger. I'm such a bitch.

ummm the fucking worst my DEH-P850MP is fried mother fucking A hole.... 300 down the drain anyone know where I can get this shit fixed? or there is no way to fix something internal or it isn't worth it.

I was thinking of getting the 960MP or the 8P pioneer. they are great prices on ebay. I still gotta pick the car up later they wired it to the factory head since mine id blown...

 

Was the Hu working when u dropped off the car or you never tried it out?

 

I put it in myself before and it was working and then I removed the makeshift support I was using to hold the deck up so I could make the deck sit flush with the dash.... when I got it all back together I try to turn the deck on and nothing...

so I guess it is fried... they told me that they benchtested it and nothing... anyone want to buy a DEH P850MP that doesn't power on? Could be an easy fix, but im not willing to deal with this stuff again.

So now im looking at the P960MP or the P8MP the Pioneers.... the 960 is 370 and the P8 is 270... ?? fuck the debacle.


I also get some narsty feedback from the subs when I turn my car off and take out the key... anyone know what the problem is? feed back as in the subs do a huge loud low rumbling vibration.

could it be something to do with the remote turn on or whatever im not familiar with audio wiring at all.

 

first thing i'll check is the ground, make sure it has a good connection. Also about the HU, did you check the fuse to make sure it's not blown. If it was working before, dont' see why it's not working anymore. Even it u didn't ahve the back support to hold it up (i didn't have mine either so it's flush) it shouldn't have fired the HU

 

The feedback (rumble) you're getting is b/c the amp is staying on after you shut the radio off. Several fixes, but the easist is to put a simple toggle switch on the remote turn on lead that goes to the amp.

 

yeah im not going to go back to that stupid audioshop again. well after I go get that fixed.

Will- i don't know they checked the fuses and all that and benchtested it... it is something internal not sure what it can be... since it did power up before but then stopped... maybe my ground was bad when I installed it and then while I was moving it around it got loose and blew something.? I hate not knowing what the hell is going on.
