To those who have suspension noise!!! MY STORY
So after dropping my car awhile back ive been getting the worst suspension noise ever on the right passenger side. Go slow, braking, at a full stop and then accelerating gives me "clunk" "clunk" "ding" "ding" noises. It sounded really bad. Well i finally sold my car today to a friend and he wanted it fixed. I finally figured out the problem, well at least for now... so for those who want to look into it.
First, we thought it was the axel so changed both, it didnt work. Actually it did but you have to tighten the axel very tight. Use an air compression gun. Solved a lot of the noise.
After doing this noises stopped but i would here a loud "clunk" everytime I accelerate from a full stop. Well that we had no idea what it was. After lifting the car at the shopped and spending an hour seeing what that noise could be, finally figured out that it was the bushings in on the sway bar. They were very weak and with a lot of pressure from the car accelerating the bushings would get pushed very hard by the bar and hence cause the noise. Well changed the bushings and VOILA!!! ALL NOISE STOPPED!!!
So for those who might want to try and think that they have the same problems i had, try those two.
Oh yeah, the cars dumped on Ground Controls and Koni Yellows. Now i kinda wish I kept it. Oh wells, M3 here I come.
