does ur engine sound different now than the 1st day you put on ur intake? i think my car sounded deeper when i floor it the 1st day i put on my intake...
it's still loud.. but not as deep now.. and i feel like there are more vibrations coming from the engine now too...

is it me?!?! do u guys experience the same things?

Well, once in a while, pop your hood and make sure all the connections are solid. Also, check the filter to make sure it is clean..

 

Well...

I just installed my CAI like two weeks ago, and all I notice that's different is that vacuum noise at idle. It's really loud! But other than that, I don't really notice a huge sound difference....maybe it's cuz I just can't tell over my exhaust's noise. I love the sound of my engine tho at higher RPM'S, a huge improvement.

The change = what they are talking about above. About the vibration and different sound when the intake growls. Sorry should have cleared that up a little..

 

What youre noticing is your computer conteracting for your intake via its OBD. Your computer continually adjusts for all conditions and trys to take it back to the most effecient (emissions wise) set up.

Any mod you slap on your CL will be affected by this from what I've read.,

 

No difference for me. It's going on 8 mo now. There is a noticable change in driving patterns after installing intake though. Maybe you are not flooring it as much.

 

fellas... i had a short ram.. it was loud... then it dissappeared... then i got a CAI and it ws louder and now has dissappeared...

after 3 years of intake I have realized... Its just as loud and deep as day one... we just have gotten used to it!!!

If you ask anyone else around you.. they'll say its loud! trust me!

 

I think I can agree with this! Although, now that money is tighter, I don't floor it so much..Gas is money folks!

 

About not being as loud as before I agree with us getting used to it. I do feel the vibration a little bit but not all the time.

 

haaha.. diff driving pattern.. most definely... with the intake i now floor it all the time... ahaha...

but yeah.. the idle sound is still loud.. but the high rpm tone sounded different... not as low.. but still as loud...
