thinking of getting an integ

its a 1991 RS Acura Integra. my buddy is selling it for 1500 and basically the motor and all engine components have been changed. from timing belts to sensors.. its had about 194,xxx miles on it. the body is clean, no dents and he's selling to me with an injen short ram intake, tokico blues, and some coilovers. just wondering would this be worth getting?? and if anything were wrong with the car his dad would offer me help. btw no accidents on vehicle.

im going to be using this for an everyday car.. i want the CL to rest up for a while..

thanks guys! ill post pics as soon as i get them!

why do u not want to drive ur CL everyday? too raced out?

When i 1st bought my CL i kept my old 90 civic hatchback and i NEVER drove it, it was a fukin paperweight. If i had cocoa's car i would get a daily driver, or if i lived in places with snow. But u live in a climate that has 2 temperatures, warm and hot. save ur $1500

I dont understand why people need a beater car when they drive a cl. It is only a cl, its not like it is a brand new car or something. My cl is cheap and I have 194,000 miles on it and couldnt be happier with it. I get to drive around in semi luxury and not worry to much about the car because it isnt worth that much in the first place, so I cant see why somebody would get a beater car if they own a cheap cl. can somebody on here give me a good reason to spend 1500 on a car to have as a beater?

How does that save you money or worries, your so called beater gets worse gas mileage than your cl does and costs more. But I understand in your case because your cl is your project car. But how much work does the guy looking into the integ have done to his cl?

Well, I have between 10-15 grand in parts so far, on or going on my CL so it's not exactly a cheap CL. But the 4runner doesn't really get bad gas mileage, 30 MPG highway and 20 MPG city, not bad for a 4.0 only 1 liter difference between my 3.0 but the tank is twice as big!!! :rippedoff Main reason I got the toyota was cuz it was good on gas mileage for having 265 HP

Takes like $60 to fill it, especially since both cars only get 93 Gas prices is the only thing that's really killin me

There is no way you get 30mpg out of a 4runner unless you drive slower than an old lady and even then you wouldnt get 30mpg maybe 25

28 average I keep the computer reset every tank I fill up, and I don't drive like no old lady I can post a picture if you still don't believe me, that's highway miles, which I primarily drive, I get 17-18 MPG city average

My 3.0 gets about 30-35 highway I think

The v6 only has 20 less hp and gets WAY better gas mileage, that's what I have, the Sport Edition 4WD with sport package, hood scoop, and sport suspension

^thats probably not his car..
its sometimes a thrill to have another car to drive, i look forward to driving my prelude when i get sick of the cl for example, its always nice to have a spare car that you dont have to worry about all the time

I agree^^ having another car to drive seems like itd be a lot better. I wish my parents had fun cars to drive.

and his avatar is someones ride from back in the day on here that he animated and im assuming either he blacked the license plate or the guy that originally posted them did.

^^ oh ic.. kool kool. yeah well at least you guys understand about having a spare car. i plan for more things in the future for the CL. so i rather start now by keeping it in good condition.. just becuase your a good driver doesnt mean people around you are. so i think the integ would be a benefit for me.
