Think of getting a 2.5CL..(permit only!!)
well, i hopefully be getting a car soon. at first, i wanted the 98-99 maxima. it was really fast, but the reliability was a little worse than honda. Im still thinking of getting a max.

BUt then yesterday at autotrader.com i saw a cl 2.5, black loaded for 13K with only 35K miles! i thought it was a great deal. it looked luxurious, and it was also a 5 speed. BUt, everyone says they are really slow. Can anyone give me reasons to look into this car?

I am surely going to mod it, but i dont think for performance since its too slow, but i would 17" rims, clears, and drop it.

hey man, you can probably find a little better deal than that. It does have pretty low miles, but I've seen alot of Cl's with around 50K miles asking right around 10. It does look pretty clean though, and if it has a warranty thats not a bad price. Good luck, just don't buy a CL if you're a speed freak. You'll get smoked alot. Only buy it if you want a really nice looking car for a good price that will last forever.

 

Is it me or do those look like 98 rims? I thought 99's had those rims with like the 20 little things on it or was that just the 3.0?



Also as a reference point I bought my car 1 1/2 yrs ago with 49k miles on it for $12,300 its a 98 2.3 prem. ed. unmodded.
