look just like another illegal bulbs that you will get in trouble for

i would invest in something better like a projector setup or a hid conversion kit

those are imitation CATZ ZETA kits. it boosts the power in the bulbs. i think it uses h4 bulbs. my friend has it the catz zeta in his 00 si. he uses oem h4 bulbs with it instead of the bulbs catz provided becuase they were too blue and sucked in the rain. the reg oem h4s are better.

It shoot more juice in the bulbs. Hmm would that be dangerous?

Not if the bulbs it comes with are equipped to handle the power boost.

Which they aren't. If your housing has adquate cooling, the bulb might last a decent while. If your housing has poor cooling (like the CL), the bulbs will cook themselves. My STOCK 9006 bulbs were melting themselves...

Let's not forget we're now drawing more power from the stock harnesses too. HIDs don't.

HID systems can draw up to 4 times as much power during warm up!!!! 20-30amps combined!!! after wards they draw less than halogen. headlights should be wired directly to the battery for optimal performance n e ways. that CATZ zeta kit came with a wiring harness i dont know about that set though.

But peak current draws do not affect wire temperatures as much as continous current does. You can pump 40 amps easily through a 16ga wire for a short time. But 20 amps continuous for hours at a time will burn it up.

Regardless, as long as you don't blow the fuse, you should have no problems. The factory fuses are spec'd to protect the wiring.

The main reason to upgrade ur harness for a xenon setup is to assure best perfromance and elimante any possible damage to the oem system. many ppl blow the small oem fuses every other minute when they hook into the oem system and others have no problems. it is just important to know xenon systems draw alot of power during startup and is most likey the cuase of blow fuses. just a fyi.
