Tar removal?

Hey guys, I just re-obtained my '99 2.3 CL from my father and it has a whole lot of tar on the passanger side door and sideskirt. Anyone got any ideas for how to get it off? I have no idea how long it has been on there. I tried this tar removal stuff from Advanced Auto Parts and rubbed for like 5 minutes to no avail.

Keep trying tar removing products. Do not use paint thinner or anything of that sort. I WILL FUCK UP THE FINISH. Buy orange cleaner. Its a degreaser used to remove tar. Its not that fantastic bullshit. It comes in plastic bottle and smells like strait up oranges. That def removes the tar but you should try it first on a surface of the car and test it if it fuckes up the paint. Highly doubt it does but you should try it first non the less.

Try Goo Gone (NOT Goof Off) and be sure to put on some wax afterward because it will remove the wax.

Try a clay bar. Make sure you use detailing spray or soapy water.
