I researched this and no one elses noises seem to apply to mine...however, I started the car yesterday morning and got out to grab the newspaper and i can hear a tapping or clicking noise coming from the car. Ive always heard a slight tapping after turning the car off which i presume is normal, but once i start it? Its a little strange...the car runs great at 110k miles...nothing is out of the ordinary (excellent pickup and gas mileage)...thanks!

 

id say valves probably need an adjustment if that was never done before.

 

Sounds like your valves are tapping, time to get them adjusted

 

thanks ill have that looked at...is there any way to do this by myself? or is that something i cant really mess with?

 

There's guides around to do it, but from what I know it's a pain in the a$$
