tail light cleaning

I just bought a used taillight and its got some minor scratches and scuffs which are kind of annoying to me. Does anybody have any techniques or cleaners that are good for removing this kind of stuff? Just figured id ask. Thanks.

A clay, and a buff with some compound, polish and wax made my 4runner tails and headlights look brand new

i hit mine very lightly with some 1500 and water. then i took my mini pneumatic mac buffer with some norton blue compound and buffed over them and they look brand new. I also did this to my headlights with great results..
