Sylvania Bulbs

Hey guys! I purchased some sylvania Bulbs,

http://www.sylvania.com/bin/carApp/c...=CL&x=32&y=8#1

they burnt out real quick. No idea what happened. I'm going to return them. Do you guys have any recomendation as to a better 9006 bulb for low beams? I prefer the Bright White shine with only a HINT* of blue. No into the mostly blue colored bulbs.
thanks guys!

Did you touch the bulbs when you installed them? Always use gloves when installing bulbs. If you touch the bulb with your hands they burn out quicker for one reason or another.

Hmm, I dont remember being careful with them. So i guess i might have fondled the bulbs a little bit! You think thats why they burnt out? hmmm.... are there any other brand that you would recommend? I purchased them because they were low wattage. [ i didnt want to cause a short in my wires]

Thanks 977CL22

I've had sylvanias in my car for over a year now with no problems - if you touch the bulb, oil from your finger gets on the glass and when it heats up the oil creates a hotspot, which causes it to burn out. Or something.

I had the silver stars, good while they lasted, I got me some nokyas. But I am switching to a 9005 ---> 9006. It just to remove some notch in the bulb that prevents it from being plugged in.

my silverstars has lasted about 7 months now, and I have been very pleased with them. No bad glare in heavy rain/snow.

its the grease on your fingers that causes hot spotson hologen bulbs, causing them to go out almost instantly

You should buy my CL-S6 with the xenons and stop playing with the halogens.

touching the bulb with ur bare hands causes them to burn out faster because of the oil from your hands...... but i agree with pgt89 because you can't go wrong with hid's and stop playing with halogens

Get Nokya! I think I got my pair about a year ago and they're still workin fine. Check eBay, I've seen some auction sellin both highs and lows for $35.

Mine are goin soon tho, be on the lookout for my new X5 projector setup...heh. Just get HIDs!
