anyone know whats wrong with my window. it sweaks everytime i roll it down or up. it is the driver side window. can i take it apart and spray wd40 on it to stop it? let me know

 

i had the same problem for awhile. when my driver side window is down, the windows would rattle and squeak as i drive over bumps or when my stereo system is turned up loud. i took the door panel off yesterday, and spray all the rails with long lasting lithium grease. the squeak is now gone. i would recommend the "long lasting lithium grease" over the wd-40 stuff though, since you cant not always able to take the door panel off to spray something into it.

 

where do you spray? door panel?

 

once you took the door panel and the plastic cover out. there is the center rail inside the door. spray grease into that rail. there are also two guide rails, front of window and back of window. you can spray some grease into there too.

 

note that the window only sweaks when i roll it down or up not whens its down inside the door, its only when i roll down the window or roll it up it will sweaks. let me know

 

hey just take off your side panel and spray the metal parts in there...that should take care of it..i'm gonna do this along with a lot of other little things to my car once i get my dash kit

 

yea i got the same problem ... its a real high pitched squeek its real annoying i think it might have somthin to do with the rubber seal i gave it a good soking in armor all and so far so good
