if you get a pro kit, you will need a camber kit.. and no it isnt really necesary to get shocks when you get sportlines but a lot of people say that the car will get a little bit lower once it settles but the obvious huge advantage is being aable to adjust to the shocks to the way you like them and for your civic the kits effect every car differently
you wont need a camber kit with the pro-kit, i had the H&R's which drop it even more and i didnt really need a camber kit. I have sportlines now, and you def need a camber kit, for the front

Yo go with the sportlines and KYB AGX drop....plus camber kit.
Thats what I should 'ove done.
Now Iam lookin' into to changing out my PROKITS for Sporlines.......cuz i like the drop alot better.
I did not do it the first time 'cuz, I wanted to save money by not buying the camber kit.
Now its gonna cost me more $.......cuz I prffr. sport lines.
which Camber kit ya'll got?

There's def. a difference between the PROKITS and the SPORTLINES.
Sportlines give the CL that nice slammed look. Which really makes the car look awesome.
Espcially with some 18's on.

Nice ride KLepTo.
This is a really good thread on the Pro Kit vs. Sportline discussion. CLPower has some pics of both.

I have the pro kit and have KYB GR2's in the box waiting to get installed. the pro kit sits nice with the stock struts, so it should sit even better with the KYb's. Depending on the road conditions by you, I would go with the pro kit. Obviously, the sportlines make the car look nicer, but it really depends on the streets u going ot be driving on.

yeah i kinda agree with that. I still want to keep the soft driving, but have the lower look. thats what i think the pro kit is for.
Well, you guys are comparing stock height, with pro-kit and wheels. Larger wheels will make the car look higher, so with the pro kit drop you won't notice any drop. With stock wheels, you will notice a drop.
Here is a picture compliments of someone on this board...

Obviously there is a drop. I think it looks classier and what it should look like from the factory if they had some sort of "sport package." I really don't like the sportline drop. This ain't no Integra or Civic. I think the sportline drop only looks good with huge wheels.

Not true, my car looks dropped with my stocks and my 17's. It doesnt look stock height at all with the pro kit and +1 rims. I havent tried with 18's because the roads are too messed up and I already went thru one set last summer, so now I stick w/ 17's only. And my mistake, I shouldnt say "dropped", it looks lower than stock is what I should say.

The GR2's are like 160 but don't get those. They are not adjustable like the AGX's which I've seen for around 260. The pro kit's/sportlines i've seen for 160.
You cannot adjust the ride height with anything but coilovers which these are not.

well yes you can, when you get so many people on a board with the same car you start to see paterns in a drop that everyone chooses.. so with a great number of people getting each spring it goes from trial and error to fact

ok, so even if the cars are the same all cars are all different from each other still right?
i've seen the same cars with the EXACT same setup get camber from -1 to -3...you will NEVER know how your car will be effected when you start messing around with stock settings...allignment settings are very touchy and are dependent of alot of variables..like the condition of your bushings and other components will affect the allignment as well as how the car reacts itself
this is why i was suggesting he get an allignment and decide from there..there is no other way to tell if he'll need a camber kit or not..obviously having a camber of -1 is alot different than -2 to some people

your definatly going to want to get an alignment before you decide to get a camber kit i cant argue with that.. i'm just positive that anybody over aaaaa 1.5-1.75 inch drop needs a camber kit.

You know I like you shinilight, but I have to say something that contradicts what you're saying. I dropped my del Slo about 2 inches and I didn't need a camber kit. I got an alignment and was still within the factory specs. It wasn't until I went to about 3 inches that I needed to correct anything. Even then, It wasn't bad in the front, but the rear just needed a few washers.
Sorry shinilight.
well that is very possible, i believe that 100% but i dont think that a person has dropped a first gen cl and didnt need a camber kit.. i have read a lot about people with sportlines and i'm pretty sure wiht the search testimonials that people that havnt gotten a camber kit got their front tires eaten up... i could be wrong and wouldnt be surprised if i was becuase my cl is sitting at stock height..
