Stripes on side of car...

Anyone know a easy way to take the stripes on the side of the car from the hood to the trunk off? Thanks.

Let it sit in the sun for awhile to warm up the glue and than take a razor blade and slowly (and carefully) start to pull the stripe up. I havent tried it but thats what i have heard from other members

I didn't realize that the stripes could come off. Mine seem to be painted on.

If they rae painted... hehehe...
ontop of the clear coat... break cleaner **** Very little diluted with H2O... it will eat your shit right up!!!! be careful... and wax it immediately!!!!

Some are painted on, some are tape. Make sure you know what you have before you start picking at it. Mine are painted on

mine are painted also. thought about removing them after the girlfriend drove through a vat of tar last summer and my dealer wore the front left quarter of the pinstripes a little thin removing all the f$%king tar while I was out of town. tried scratch-x and it was clearly removing the pinstripe, but I thought about it and wasn't ready to lose them just yet. same reason I haven't pulled the badges off - didn't want to see lines from paint fade.

I don't think we have these "lines" everyone is trying to get off.

Don't think they put them on the 99' 3.0s

I used some stiker remover from the local auto parts store, took alot of elbow grease also but it did come out, and it looks better without it. I wouldn't go with razor blades though

Mine are definitly painted. I have a dark red on top of a second light grey line. i wouldn't mind getting rid of the grey one but i sort of like the red ones. I'm REALLY glad they did not put the lines across the trunk, mine stop at the rear panel in a little arrow shape.

If I get some side-skirts and front lip in the future, i'll probably get them painted the same red color, then i'll look for white rims with the red small letters too. I'll be doing red calipers and red underhood stuff soon too. I like to stick with one style to keep things clean looking.
