The tingy sound is the ricey sound he was asking about. 4cyl or 6, it stills adds the tingy sound.

if you get a straight pipe, how do you bypass the o2 sensor, or do you just get a bung on it so you can plug it in the straight pipe?

You have to have a V6 to get anywhere near that sound.

I know its not recommended but I seen a civic hatchback with dual exhaust sticking out both sides under the rear quarter panel. You know the ones with the rectangular tips? LOL it was very ugly but had a deep tone. I asked him how he did it and he told me he did a Y pipe at 2 1/2 inches. LOL.

I explained to him how he shouldnt go beyond 2 1/4 but you know how those multi-colored vehicles with a mexican flag on the hood and japanese writing on the back guys are...

As he took off in full throttle, I kept hearing backfire.

i took the cat off my 3.0 and lost alot of bottom end. gained some top end but not enough for make it worth the loss on the bottom. (that was just the cat with stock piping to a magnaflow muffler).. it did sound alittle ricey but not as bad as you may think. and the exhaust stinks something fierce. so i took it off. i also had to make an 02 sensor bypass which helped with the cel. good luck g.

Thats does sound sickkkkkkk. How is it inside the car? Not that it matters since you took out all the sound insulation...

I just found this video posted by the same guy who posted yours of PimpCL23 having some issues lol.

this isn't exactly related to this thread but i'm thinking about a new exhaust ( the one i have is way loud, straight pipe to HKS Hi-Power muffler) and was wondering if the 98-02 Accord coupe exhausts will fit the CL not sure, but i think it will work

No, the piping is bent/ran differently, just get the piping bent for your car
