Stock 3.0CL means mods
So yeah, after seriously considering keeping the CL stock until I got rid of it, I've had a change of heart and I'm now looking into some low-cost engine modifications that can be bought.
For starters, I know jack shit about modding of any kind, so you're going to have to dumb it down for me. I'm not making too much money (PT job and school leaves little money for anything but gas and insurance), so plz keep the suggestions relatively affordable XD

i'm the same way.. but very part time job -- only breaks from college
i got clear bumper signals and taillight tint, plus gauge rings and a cai by the end of the month (hopefully )
ive got springs, shocks, and 18s waiting for me at home.
i just sanded my windshield wiper arms to the metal and think they look damn sexy without the black. i bought some spray to make them a little nicer looking, but that's a little job for tomorrow.
cant wait to totally pimp this shit.
damn, i gotta win the lottery.

Eh, I'm not really looking for exterior mods. I see idiots all the time with clear/blacked-out light covers and other shit on their cars and it's always turned me off. I was just looking for some relatively simple/low-cost options to extract more hp from the engine.

Show or go?
You said engine mods right?
The most common mods done to any car are I/H/E (Intake/Header/Exhaust)
This is what I have on my 3.0
- AEM Short Ram Intake w/ bypass valve $250 back in 01'
-Universal Oval Touring exhaust $100 + $30 install
The only header I liked few years ago were the mugen ones and they were 1 grand.......... I'm sure there is more options available by now.

Hehehe, should've found the Lambos reference for what it really was.
But seriously, does anyone have some info on I/H/E on their fave brands and approx price for the parts and installation?

ok so i know a little bit about lambos, heres what i know
the best brand is by far Vertical doors inc
im guessing this is gonna throw you off big time cuz you dont want to spend alot but here it goes anyway
the price range for your vehicle is 1200-1400 dollars for a bolt on kit that is custom made for your car. you can get it off of andysautosport.com and basically any custom car parts website. use google to find sites that have em.
the kit comes with all the parts, the wedges, and the shocks and the bolts
now installation for the whole thing will run you 600 to 800 depending on where you live or what place you go to
there are also universal kits that cost like 700 to 900 and they are cheap quality but get the job done. wont last as long and they go up 90 degrees verses the real lambo door style which is 45degrees

if you are short on funds, ebay intakes are only $30 and most of the people agree here that it gets the job done.

Nothing is done on my car expect for a mid-performance K&N air filter my dad insisted we get for it. And I don't have an E-bay account yet (Think you gotta be 18 for it, but whatever), so buying an intake from somebody else is pretty much out of the question. Did anybody here buy theirs from a company and if so would they recommend it?
Gah, being mechanically clueless about my car sucks >_<
