SRS & ABS lights are supposed to be on or off?Should I buy this 97 2.2Cl for 6500?

Hi Everyone
This is my first post on this board.
I am interested in purchasing a 1997 Acura 2.2cl from this
dealership in NJ. The car has 94,831 miles on it, it's a 5speed, only 1 owner. It's asking price is $6900, already negotiated it down to $6500 and probably still try for another 2-300 off but my concern is the following.
The car already has a short ram intake (whoever owned it probbaly raced it?), bubble on rear drivers side tire, when I first tried to turn it on it didnt...battery was dead has to jump start it, clear corners, very dark tints, ugly side markers, small rip on drivers side seat and on the cluster the SRS bag is lit in red, when it's lit does it mean that it's enabled and working or does it mean that something is wrong with it? And does the Yellow ABS light gotta be on for working or off ? The windows go down slower than normal i think, could this be because of the tints and old age of car?
The car seems to have had a music system in it as it still has the red power cable running to the battery (maybe this is why the battery drained)
I checked the history on car and there is nothing wrong historically, only 1 owner, no accidents no odometer rollback etc.

Is the car worth $6500 (which I already brought it down to)?? Or should I be looking for something else?

Thanks alot for any help offered.

everything in the gauges should be turn off not lit up, if the SRS is turn on that means the airbags isnt working or theres something with the wiring which might cost about 150 to fix. i had the same problem

Hmmm. Okay, that troubles me a bit.
One of my friend's just informed me that this light sometimes comes up once the battery dies and you jumpstart the car, something about the ECU going coocoo and needing to be reset. He reset his ECU on his car (97 jetta) and the airbag light turned back off. Could this be the same case?
How can I find out what exactly is wrong with it? and is the car worth the $6500?

no , in order to reset the ecu all you do is unhook the battery for a few minutes, so basically if the battery was dead you reset the ecu. There should be no lights on at all in the console when everything is working properly.

well to tell you the truth if you really are a SPEEDJUNKIE I wouldnt go for a slomatic 2.2. If you just want to go fast you might want to keep lookin. But on the other hand I love this car and dont regret getting it a day since I bought it last year. It was a 98 2.3 premium ed. with 49,000 and I bought it for $12,500 out the door. With some nice rims, a drop, and tint's this car looks badass. And if you want to mod the engine and maybe add nos like a lot of other people on the board did you will have lots of pep to say the least.

aiight this is how it works cuz i had the same problems. The ABS light could mean the modulator is bad or something like that....pretty expensive fix but the SRS if the person restarted and had to jumpstart the car then that will come on.

The Speedjunkie name was just because I couldnt think of anything else to pick, doesnt really mean that I am into speed that much. I really just want the luxury look accompanied with the 5speed for some driving fun. So the 2.2 would be fine for me.

no one has answered my question yet.
Is this car worth it for $6200-$6500?

Thanks,
