i dont know about your questions, but with an sri for a 3.0, be ready for a constant horribly stupid sound
i would get a cai if i were you.
the sound of an sri on a 3.0 is just overpoweringly annoying
get a cai and take off the extension part to find out
yes a intake can slightly high fuel mileage but its nothing your honestly gonna notice. you cant rely on parts to get better gas mileage you just have to chill out when u drive. the basic point in my mind of an intake is for sound and a slight increase in acceleration.
and as for the intake helping your car warm up, i cant see that having anything to do with it. its just a matter of your coolant and oil rising to a certain temperature. correct me if im wrong.

AEM or cosmo are good. The humming from the SRI comes from a combination of a cheap filter and the intake not being mounted properly, and it reverberates sound like a tuning fork.

also a good point, mine hummed real bad cuz I had the stock resonator right below the intake, but i tied it down with zipties and put some rags under it too and it went away. I bet it would be a lot less if you took that out. I waited on mine till I put my CAI to take that out, but i bet that has a lot to do with it, never thought of that b4 but that's probably where the sound is bouncing around from. But I did muffle it with a towel just never put 2 and 2 together. If you buy my sri, just take out the stock resonator box in the bumper I bet it won't hum real bad

I'd love to go CAI it's just super rainy here in BC. I think we have some sort of record or something.. I'd hate to suck that water up in my engine. I just can't trust a BOV either, it seems too simple.

It's not a blow off valve
And they do work, I got stuck in a hurricane rain storm with 3-4 foot floods on the roads and my cai and motor kept right on truckin
Thank god or i'da cried.
my AEM V2 is basically SRI, and everyone said they hum and have like a vacuum sound, but my sounds just like any ordianary intake. and if its humming i obviously dont even notice it??

Alright, I took the airbox thing out and It made a huge difference with regards to the humming. It still hums but it isn't nearly as loud or as deep a sound. It's very bearable. Every clip I took out, I broke. I just yanked them out with pliers. I forgot to take pictures but it just takes a bit of muscle and some new clips. Acura charged me $3.65 per clip, I was shocked, but they went back in perfectly.
In summary, I highly recommend taking the resonator thingy out.

$3.65 per clip!?!?!? I went to the honda dealer and paid 80 cents a piece
There ya go supa, buy my sri and take the whole airbox out, and the hum isn't so bad. Like i said every intake hums, my cai hums, but it's bearable like ^^he said
