Squeaking Squeaking !!!!!

alright so after driving around DOWNTOWN SF which has some of the worst streets, i drive home i start hearing Squeaking!! coming from the (front, right) area so when i get out i check it out to see what it might be......i get in & out of the passenger side and i heard SQUEAKING!! so i look and the front end (right side) and i start pushing down Continuously and hear SQUEAKING again DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA WHAT IT MIGHT BE?? i'm thinking it has something to do with the springs or struts? SOMEONE HELP i don't wanna find out 268463518615 people viewed this and have no REPLY

sounds like either a bad bushing or possibly a ball joint. Couldnt tell you what bushing b/c i cant hear it.

mines doing the same thing....i hate it. Its a bad ball joint on the control arm or a bad bump stop. I need to replace it cause it ain't pimp

Ha! I agree! Downtown SF has terrible roads! So many sewer lids and uneven pavement done by construction! I live in SF and never saw your car!. ^__^

i saw a lot of first gen CL's when i was downtown mostly i bet were owned by older people....and yeah it SUCKS!! i don't think ima drive through there again not in the CL, NOTHIN but pot holes and messed up streets i was pissed!!

if it IS your ball joint. its pretty cheap to fix. like $45 shipped.

you should also come to the bay meet next sat, we could take a look at it then

Mine did the same thing before i put Tein SS on there, what I did the day it did it was lifted the car and simply sprayed some WD-40 on the shock. Stoped it, but im not sure how much longer it would have lasted, 4 days later I got the TEIN's installed. Try it out and see, it might just be the shock is wearin down and just rubbin the housing of the shock.

Haha! that is true. That does suck that older ppl drive it. If u are ever in the richmond district in SF. Drop on by... I want to see how cool your car looks.
