Speaker Help

I am looking to replace my door speakers (6 1/2?) on my 1998 2.3CL. Does anyone have a suggestion? I would like to install them with little or no modifications to the door or speaker. Is speaker depth an issue?

I'm a big fan of Infinity Kappas...not sure if they fit without mod though. Put this on the AV/Electronics board. You'll get help there.

I have infinity kappas in my front doors, but you can get the 6 3/4 inch version for a little more bass. No modifications needed it just drops in! Sounds great too.

Rockford fanatic Q 5 1/4 with the stock baffle in the door, the baffle acts as an enclosure and reproduces a slight bit tighter bass response up front.

How much are you looking to spend? How much power are they gonna get?

Any speaker with a mounting depth <= 2.5" should work without modification.

I just installed cdt audio hd62's which have a mounting depth of 2.75". I had to remove the bottom of the plastic mounting bracket. Only took a couple of minutes with a dremel and a cut off disc.
