today i put my filter on the stock airbox. it sounds real deep but i'm curious to know what it will sound like when i take my air silencer out?? will it be louder? deeper? better? also will my car pick up any hp from removing it? thanks

 

ur car will obtain a little growl if u take the resonator out. it wont really scream like a I4 2.2 or 2.3. it will sound good. plus it is a free mod. and yes u get some power. maybe like 1-3

yeah i know alot of ppl who have. they dont have an exhaust and there cars sounds damn good. hopefully they will tell u the same if they read this

I barely heard a diffrence...maybe cuz the intake nosie was a lot louder. You should def. do it!

 

it may be a silly question but if you take out the air filter, won't dust get into it?

 

It's not the air filter it's the air scilencer which is a whole different piece, located almost in the wheel well below the stock air box.

yeah you would get dust in ur shit if you took out the air filter.

 

I just said the hell with it and totally cut the bottom of the air box off and stuck a K&N panel filter in there... sounds amazing, and besides the filter, it was free!
