Doesn't hurt bad with your hands though. Might feel crampy, but just startles you really...
about the tongue!
I have been shocked checking wires with a running truck before... I told the moron to give me insulated pliers and without checking, I used them.
They were foam, not rubber!

did u try replacing the alternator? sounds like its not maintaining enough juice through ur system. i replace my starter the other day cuz it would not click when i turned the key. yours still click right? i would buy an alternator and install it myself, not very hard, and if it starts, problem solved. if it didnt fix the problem, then return the part and start scratching ur head hahahh

Alternator is used for charging and for running the vehicle...
Battery is used for starting the vehicle...
The car uses the electricity from the battery to start and before the know it alls won't to correct my statement, yes the car will start off of the alternator (push start with a manual tranny)! But even if the alternator was bad, the car would run off of the battery until the battery dies...
No spark on his car = either a bad distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, ignition coil or just a defective distributor in whole...
If all of that doesn't work, then you would need to check the wires that run to the ignition coil.

If I were you I'd take it down to the guys at autozone, they know their stuff. It might be something with your stock alarm tripping it out!! I've heard that's what caused VTEC not to work on PimpCl23's car!!
If it were the alternator your battery light should've come on which means the alternator has failed and the battery isn't being charged by the engine while the engine's running.

***update***
gave up on trying to figure out the problem and had the car towed to a local shop. they brought a truck out with a bed, and me and the towing dude spent like an hour getting my car up onto the lift with a bunch of wood he said i was the lowest car he had worked on and that he used to drive a lowered car, anyone else would have said "hell no, i aint towing that"
well it turns out that my timing belt got messed up somehow, its actually 8 teeth off from the bottom. he said theres actually slack in the belt and that the cam is off. Said there could be some internal damage, he doest know for sure until he examines it more. the car is half apart and needs to know how to proceed.
I got my timing belt done a few months back at a local shop in the bay that we've never had a problem with. I did notice that the belt would squeal sometimes at startup, but after a sec, it would stop.
so right now, the two shops are talking over what is the problem. i'll prolly end up having to tow it all the way back to the bay area. after I got the call, my GF hugged me like a family member passed or something
i'll keep you guys posted. thanks for all the help so far.

update
my dad called me from the bay today and talked to the shop. the manager there said that my distributor housing got messed up and caused my timing belt to malfunction. So now, he wants 1k to redo the belt and another $200 for the towing.
i'm waiting on my shop up here to call me back to see if they noticed this problem when they looked at my car.

1g for a timing belt change? take it somewhere else, it shouldnt cost more than 600$ id do it for free if i were in the country. those are easy engines to change the belts (timing/balance) on. im not buying the dizzy housing thing. all those parts are made of plastic and would break before the belt would skip. id look into it alittle more.
