You may need to TIG the brace plate. If the welds are broken or rusted, you could have a leak from that. If not, a little of that liquid steel or JB Weld will stop the water.

why i had a similar leak problem in my old teg it turned out to be my weather stripping. the way i tested it was my brother was in the trunk with the hatch closed and i hosed water onto the car and we were able to pinpoint where the water was coming from. it turned out to be an eazy fix.

That's a way to fix it, if I ever get a leak in my trunk, I'll turn off my subs, and ask the dead guy if he saw where the water came from.

lol. it was actually my bro in law and like 97blackAckcl said, i had subs in the trunk with my amp connected and operating. lol. i had tried everything to find the leak. no joke. one dumb friend said, "theres probably a big hole underneath tha body of your car which is probably allowing the water to come in." my first response was how often does a car have a hole and we're in a salt free enviorment. in the end our idea of hafing someone in the trunk and hose water on the car worked. maybe it can work for u alex.
