I might sell my showcar (alero) and rebuilt the acura...Ive only done small things so far. Indash tv, silverstars, infinity basslink. But if i do this itll be a $30k project kinda like my last car was....Just not sure if its even worth it.......ALso the question is do i go motor or show.....

motor is good...but you dont have a huge number of options with the 3.0.

unless you spend a good portion of your money getting a beefy tranny/building engine and/or doing an engine swap it just doesn't seem worth it to me

do the regular bolt ons, clean up under the hood and make the thing clean on the outside

well already decided air ride and rims are a definate, probably do 19's or so, but i was thinkin maybe 10k into motor getting the comptech s/c and beefing up the tranny for starters, rebuild some internals and whatnot. Becasue the interior and trunk and awhatnot will go fiberglass and i can easily do that my self. Lip kit and a custom paint job...maybe lambo door kit if i can find a kit i like that doesnt rattle when ya drive

I don't know why some people on here are discouraging you from putting a bunch of money into your CL. If you went through with all the mods you are talking about, you would definately have one of the nicest 3.0 CL's on this forum. This site needs more people that are willing to put that kind of money into their CL's.

well ive also considered buying a new TL a-spec/navi, so i have a few routes to go. But see i love the TL but i also wouldnt want to do much to it because of the type of car it is.

my alero, yea its got alot of shit in it.

www.cardomain.com/id/silentalero3

right now i have no back seats, its all a fiberglass mold. So is the trunk, and btw its a 4 door

That is an insane Alero....I would never spend that kind of money on a car like that, I would also take the suggested route and get a G35 or something of that sort....but it's always pleasing to see that kind of work put into a car.

As badassed as that olds is now, I did have to chuckle at this pic:

That alero is SICK do you have any pics of the fiberglass backseat/trunk area? It's a beautiful car man, I don't know if you would want to do the same to the CL, but doing anything close to that on a CL for show would be sweet. It would be a lot of motor and suspension work.

if it was me, i would get a g35 like rod said

however, it seems that you like fixing up the cars you have. and if you were to buy a g35 or another car in the 30k range, you wouldnt have that much money (im assuming ) to fix it up.

in your case, i say fix up the CL.

i would have the cash to do so, im making a nice penny selling cars so thats not the issue, its just when you have a higher end luxury car, its not easy to modify something to match the car without spending bigger $$ on it. Like the Tl new bodykit is urithane, id hate to see the cost on it.

na, id get a TL aspec before the G35, i mean the G35 is a nice car, but i just dont dig the interiors on em. But no, I would be keeping 2 cars, I would have the99 CL and another car, or sell the CL and alero and get a TL but have it pretty much fully paid for because id get about 30k for the alero, and another 10k for the acura, pay off the 15k i owe on the acura (its got a few other mixsed loans in with it) and have a nice 25k down payment on it.
