so i finally got a ticket...

i was on the way to drop off my brother & sister at school when this cop jumped out of no where with a radar gun and told me to pull over...

i thought i got booked for speeding (50 in a 40) but he asked why my plate is in my window and i was like "cuz my bracket in the grille is broken" (it really is)...so he takes off and comes back with a ticket but before he gives it to me he checks the wheel gap on my car (i dont know if you guys have noticed but i have negative wheel gap )..anyways i thought i was gonna get busted for that too, fortunately he only gave me a $110 ticket for the plate which still sucks

i hate Ontario's stupid license plate law, now i gotta zip tie my license plate to my grille :shakehead

you guys think my insurance will go up

The license plate thing shouldnt affect your insurance - it isnt a driver skill/safety thing.

The stupid thing is that Ontario and Quebec are the only provinces that require a front plate.

is it $110 just for the front plate? or that plus the speeding? Thats hella high if so. Mine only cost $10. But yeah i got a speeding ticket too, 62 in a 40. Its a hugh street and everyone was driving faster then me. I think he just wanted to see my hid's up close..

ontario is the only province with the front plate law quebec does not require a front plate and it won't affect your insurance what so ever when i get mine painted in the spring mine is comin off, if there is enough done to your car you can usually get off with tellin the cop you have it registered as a show car and sometimes they just give you a warning, but my buddy got pulled over on the 400 (highway on the way up north for all you not GTA people) in the middle of traffic for his front plate the OPP are even worse then regional police
