I haven't seen anybody with them and the thought had crossed my mind too... I found this link offering instructions on how to do it to a VW, but it basically just says to use spray paint on the inside if I'm reading it right...

Yea, so a search for black housing and you should find what you need, here are some pics of YBlegal's and 1stgencl's car with black housings...

So basically, you take your bumper off, take your headlights out, put em in the oven, pry em open, take out the silver part, then spray primer then high temp black paint on them, let it dry then put everything back together again. Also if anyone is willing to sell theirs or is in the Bay Area and would like to do mine (i'll pay em), let me know!

I'm not a fan of blacking out the headlights. I like the clear headlights and corner lights look. JMO.

I'm attempting to do mine this weekend. i thought i can just spray the black high temp paint and that's it. didn't know i had to spray primer first??? so i need silicon, primer, and black high temp paint. anything else i didn't think of?

I would use fine grit sandpaper to mar the surface before priming.

you dont need to sandpaper anything, you'll get a smoother finish without it. just primer, then paint
