SLK320 as a courtesy car
hehe... I thought I was not lucky to get a hit and run for my car last week.
But... this week when I bought it in for repair...
ICBC (my insurance company) referred me to AMG Mercedes-Benz auto shop and they give me SLK320 as a courtesy car.
It ROCKS!!!
But I still like my CL as the SLK has almost no leg room for my 6 feet body.
But its a nice ride to have for a few days.

Ya... I figure that I have to pay $300 deductible for the fix anyway. So, why not rent the most expensive car that I can and get the insurance company to pay for it?
They offer me a choice between Audi A4, BMW 330 and the SLK 320.
Oh, about my CL, some idiots put a big dent on my bumper at my work parking lot.

Okie... enough fun for me driving around town in the slk320 for a week...
Here is what I feel about the car:
Comfort: I like my CL over it as it barely has enough leg room.
Performance: IT ROCKSSSS. With my friend in the car, I can get it from 0 to 100km/h in around 6.5 secs. However, the engine sounds SUCKSSSSS big time (it maybe the rental car problem though). I've driven my friend's boxster. For around the same price, I would get the boxster.. it sounds much better...
It was a fun experience over all.
I'm glad that I got my CL back. I got my side skirt painted.
She looks much better now. Next upgrade on my list is a 17" or 18" wheel...

I can't not believe how lucky you are. Maybe I should have done that for my big FAT accident happened last summer. I could be driving around a bmw 330 for a month ! damn !! you lucky ! I took it to my friend's shop, it wasn't the greatest experience. My other friend suggested me to bring it that shop you talking about, but I was ignorant and insisted on going to "my friends". Oh i regret big time now !
Is it the shop on Cambie and Broadway ??

skyline: hehe.. yes yes, I'm lucky... AMG located at 8th and Cambie. One block in from broadway. They did a great job on my side skirts... also, i've a few blown bulbs and they replaced for me free. As for the SLK, its not really them that give me the car but they referr me to a budget nearby that carries those expensive rental car... hehe... and I got ICBC to pay for them
hougee: check me sig. you should see how my tint looks... I've done 5 windows though it's not legal here...
but it looks much better to have the 5 windows having the same tint...
