What's the name of the silver color on the 97 CL's? Car Rack.com lists it as satin silver but on these boards I've seen it referred to as Primrose Mist Metallic and Primrose silver.

Mine's Primrose Mist.......more of a pinkish/purplish pearl color.

In the right light it looks sorta silver.

Must be hard as hell to match though! I can tell some differences between the front bumper/right fender & the rest of the car.

Looks like pre-existing repairs. nice match-up on the body pieces though.

Primrose mist metallic was offered in 1997 and 1998, but not for 1999. The new gen actually gets the plain "satin silver metallic".

 

I HATE the name "Primrose" for a paint color! A freind asked me what the color was, I usually just tell people Metallic Silver, but this time I gave away the name of the color and man did he laugh and laugh and laugh. To this day he makes fun of the name Primrose - but who could blame him? By the way, the pinkish color is all but gone on mine. It was really noticeable a few years ago but not anymore. Dount know why.....

i thought the primrose mint is the the biege kinda color. I have a "biege" one. so what color is that?

 

Nope never clay bar'ed it though I've heard great things about doing it. I've buffed it myself and get it detailed every year - I don't know why the pink is gone but I'm not complainign either.

 

This color (which replaced primrose mist metallic on the 1999 models) is called "Titanium Metallic".
