side skirts q (again)

So I was wondering since the 98-99 cl come with painted stock side skirts can you just put that on a 97 cl like mine. I was looking for some, but couldn't find stock ones. Is the 94-97 have painted side skirts? Or would it just be the best if i just painted the sides I have now?

Paint them yourself. Not sure if there's a write-up or not though. Gotta make sure you use the right paint when you paint them though so it stays on for a while.

^^^ Just go to a body shop and have them mix you up a spray bomb. Then do the painting basics: Sand, 2 coats primer, 3 coats color, 2-3 coats clear. Just like when you paint the 3.0 wheel caps.

and yeah, the '97s are the only CLs without painted lips and skirts.

depends on how big section you're painting. I could whip out pics.... But yes, you should wetsand and prep the area you're painting before painting. Also should have primer and clear coat if u wanna do it right, like I said if you're just touching up, it isn't as big a deal

IMO personally I'd just get it professionally painted, as you won't be able to match the oem look and potential longterm durability of a professionally painted item. You could probably find a place that will do skirts locally for under 200 as well...and after all the time/supplies/effort you put in doing a DIY, it's not bad.
