side skirts

hey guys, i've notice that our stock first gen has those black side skirts thing on our car..and i've seen pictures of it painted with the car color and it looks much cleaner.

I would imagine it's easier with black or white color cl, but what about that special 1997 blue color? i want to paint my side skirts the same color as my body...but i doubt body shops have the same color? other than the dealers?

the 98-99 cl's comes with painted stock sideskirts.i would imagine that the body shop could get your paint.even with white mine was a pain.i'm anal, mine still isn't exact due to the new paint on the skirt/lip and the paint on my car from 97.its the same color but the shade is alittle different.also the 97 lips/skirts are textured so you prob won't get a guarentee.i didn't. its been a couple months and they're still holding.a couple chips here and there but much better than the black..

body shops can match it all.. ive done mine (even though its a subaru color its still just a color code) and my buddy got all the bumpers painted on his g35 sedan, it matches great..

all you gotta do is give the shop the color code, if they are good, they match great

most shops have a computer that tells them the proper formula to use to make your color. Then they mix and match and away they go. You simply need the paint code.

i did it, so yes it can, only reason shops aren't quick to take this job the 97 skirts/lip are a textured materal.

kind of,feel a 97lip/skirt,they aren't smooth, so if they are not prepped right the paint is prone to cracking/peeling.as i said its been a couple months and mine are fine.i'm really glad i did this.i think that changed the whole look of the car for the better.
