How do people react to your car? I pulled up to high school this year with a couple of my friends and they got a 1997 audi A4 1.8t(silver), 1989 M-B 300E(black), 2002 Mustang GT(yellow), 2004 Explorer(silver), and myself in my 1999 3.0 CL(teal). Well i thought that my CL was a rare car compared to the A4 and mustang even the explorer, but damn was i in for a surprise. My friends with the audi and benz got all the attention just because of the symbol on the grill...i mean come on a 14 year benz and a 1.8 A4 that u can see anywhere. I mean i'm not complainin or dissin the CL i bought this car because i thought i was a rare car and had a beautful style and would age very well but damn when a crowd gathers round a 1989 300E and not the CL i start to get worried...this ever happen to you guys...does the car still get the attention it use to?

 

Don't worry his will be in the shop before yours. Get some nice rims and lower it.

hye man same shit happens around here. Kids are stupid they see BMW, Benz, Audi, lexus. They shit in their pants. I mean I get plenty of compliments, but kids always think an older BMW is faster and more expensive.

 

i had my families cars up there for a while b/c its my sig. on all my fourms and for a while we were gonna sell the lexus along with the talon like i had our durango up...hey cant kill a guy for tryin to get all the free advertisement possible

when i am out and people look at my car, my friend pulls up in his cherry red 2001 lude with 18" S15's, WW body kit and red neons, loud exhaust and intake, and people just flock. i dont give a fuck, but i know how u feel. and this is my boy since we are 6 and i get jealous. but he'll be stuck in rice-land his whole life while i'm pimpin the luxo crusiers.

if you take a look around youll relize that your car is rare. people never have a clue what mine is. and since i got a carbon fiber hood they all think its got some serious hp.. when its not to speedy at all(i got 2.2 5sp) yours is faster... but they also probably spent a lot more.+ your car is 10 years newer than the benz and as said before if you get rims youll get more love

 

like vansonrider said, get some rims, a drop, and a nice system, and everyone will start to notice. a lot of people sometimes show respect when your car is nice and clean, not stickers and wings and body kits. the cl is a clean and simple car, keep it taht way and heads will start to turn.

 

keep in mind this took place at a high school. the younger crowds may not know that much about cars. most of them probably only know about the cars that rappers rap about, i.e. benz, lex, bmw. they see the symbol and the get all butt-wet over it. and audis, for whatever reason (i guess cause they're german) get that "luxo" rep too. Acuras don't get it as much. Guaranteed though that if you pulled up to a college campus, a 15 year old benz and a dime-a-dozen 1.8T wouldn't get that much attention.

true that. some people dont even know wut car it is. me and my friend did something bad before and few days later police questioned my friend if it wuz his INTEGRA! but his integra was impounded 6 month before that happend so they had no evidence and nothing happend. haha

what mods have you done to your cl? if its stock then i can kinda understand, but once you fix it up im sure you'll get the attention, around here no one noticed my car until i dropped it and got a system

 

dude, what kind of high school is this? new mustang? new explorer? audi? benz? acura? what happened to the days of driving your dad's old pickup truck or your folks' old '82 mazda 626? keep the $ for college man...

well i dont know about Yall but .... i have had Girls at stop lights tell me that i have a " nice car " and it happens in parking lots allover Austin, and where ever i go ... ONLY since i got the paintjob and it probly helps that i have rims and my car is drop. ;-D..

 

ya as of right now my car is only stock i was gonna wait til after winter to mod it but i may start sooner......o and to answer the question whats with all the nice cars at school i go to a prep school (not my choice) and as far as the acura as my car with benz and cadillacs whats a more rare and more pimp value then our acura's and i no u will say u shoulda got a 2nd gen but my rents wont spend more then 15-18 on a first car and this car was bought 14 months ago

 

I get all the attention in my parking lot, I have the best car in the lot except there are a 2 cars a little bit more expensive and modded than mine also....

no friggin kidding. i think if you DID get all the attention, that would mean there would be a lot of ppl that wants to jack your car and whatevers in it. i had an 88 integra back in high school, and the newest cars in the parking lot was a 94 integra and 95 mustang(back in 99). i am very fortunate to have been given my cl when i was 21 as a xmas/bday/to-be-graduation gift

what the hell do parents give their kids these days? i drove past my old high school and theres like rsxs, a cls, bimmer 3-series, benz c-classes, explorers, BRAND NEW STI, what the hell?? since when does a high school kid get to drive 20-30K cars??
