Does anyone have or know if they make shift adapters for the 3.0 CL?

Humm....mabey I'm calling it something else (Probably am). My friend was telling me about how I can add something that helps to shorten the time it takes to shift gears for the automatic. Perhaps gearbox something?

That might be it...as I understand it, this helps change the shift timing so my auto will shift faster between gears. He also said it wasn't that much for one either...only like $50-60

Hummm...that sounds cool, might try that.

But I think my friend was talking about a physical add on, not a liquid/fluid type thing. I'll ask him later tonight and try to get the story straight.

Are you thinking of a Level 10 tourque converter? Those are expensive but do help you shifting. They offer a few different pieces for the j30 tranny.

If you are talking about a shift kit the best thing to do would be to go to a performance parts store and ask about it. But Iw as under the impression that they were pretty expensive (2-5 hundred)

I did a search on the B&M Shift Kit and found some places that sells them for around $30. Sounds really good but one bad thing is....that they only have them for american cars..seems like they don't make it for us.

Technically, aren't our CL's American? Hell, they're made in Ohio. Hehe

Hmmm... is this what you are talking about?

Not quite sure how much money you are willing to spend, but you can always re-gear the tranny. I know its expensive, but if you REALLY want to do it right, get the gears redone by a pro. The total cost should would depend on your reason for doing it - track or street application that is.

No, there are no applications for foreign cars as far as I know. The only B&M's that I know about were designed for TH350,400, and 700 for Chevy's and prolly the C4 for Fords and TF for Chrysler. The "Shift Point Kit" changes the RPM at which the automatic changes gears. It makes the shift fast and crisp which is what makes them chirp second. The kit itself is cheap, but unless you know your auto trannies, it's a job best left to a pro.
