AEM vs Weapon*R
AEM vs Weapon*R
AEM seems to be the intake of choice but how much better is it really? As of now I have a short ram dragon intake which has the new foam filter but I’m not sure if I should stay with the Weapon*R and get a cold ram air kit or just buy a AEM cold air intake … any comments are appreciated! Please if I can get views from both sides. By the way I have a 3.0 CL
Basically, "a tube is a tube". The trick is the filter.
I paid $50 for a generic CAI (off eBay), and bought a K&N filter. Works just as good as any "name brand" intake [and sounds great!].

Since most of you are missing the question...
I think the Weapon R Ram Air is a piece of shit. Look at that winding gutter looking tube thats supposed to give you "ram air." A joke if you ask me. It will cause more air restriction. Just get a normal CAI and call it a day. I also believe in the "you get what you pay for" theory...just look at the results of the dynos. And yes, dustbuster also has a point the filter is the most important...guess thats why AEM comes with a K&N filter

dustbuster's got it right....theres no difference between tubes, youre buying a name....just by generic, live with it till you need a new filter, then get a nice k&n.......
