i think its cool as long as you dont bondo it or use cheap shit. i hate when people do that and you can tell where they bondo'd it and it just doesnt match. put metal over it and sand it down is the way i would go IF i had money

u guys r right i have shaved door handles, came with the CL when i bought it . had to have them redone though cuz although it looked perfect they cracked . the only thing i hate about it is the maintenance, u gotta take ur door panels off every once in a while, tighten the bolts and whatnot and oil the cylinder in there which tends to be a pain in the ass ...but besides that its very pimp and the ladies absolutely love it lol. all in all if u dont mind a the maintenance and u do it right the 1st time, its a real hot mod. if u want pics lemme know ill give u the address of my photobucket site

i always thought of instead of making the handles shaved, just getting rid of the line aroudn the handle to make it look smooth and with shaved sides it would look clean, if your silinoid goes out on you how would you get into the car, i know none of us can fit through the same hatch in the truck for sure

I like our door handles. Some cars I hate them, but I agree^^^
I always thought filling the gap around the handle would be sweet too.
But even from the little tiny pic in your avatar, shaved looks great.
Post some pics.

bondo isn't something you should be afraid of...but poor metal working is. They should be fully welded....slowly to avoid too much warping...then metal work it with body hammers to get most of the warping out. A light coat of body filler isn't anything to be afraid of. Also, I'd hook up both the passenger side and drivers side. That way if the solenoid goes out you have the other side to use as an option. I have a ton of friend with shaved handles on trucks and havne't really had any issues unless their battery dies. Good luck.

The shaved handels are nice and also shave the moldings off. Cause the smooth look is very nice. But make sure the body work it all smooth because you can see everything.

Talking new idea

scroll down by the bottom of this site it is my good friends accord
what he did was take all the bs around the handle and just left the actuall handle? does that make sense?
you can kind of see it on that side ways picture of his car
Plus you might want to keep in mind that if you completely get rid of you handles you can't drag race, or auto cross.
( just incase you do something stupid and wreck no one can open your door and pull your ass out!)

Mine are shaved, i have 35lb autoloc poppers, in my opinion poppers suck, if you can find the wiring diagrams which i believe come with the autoloc keyless entry system you can do remote windows. I've had so many problems with poppers i just use the windows now. And if that fails unbolt the top section of the rear seat, pull it out and take the metal bracing out, that way you can crawl thru the trunk, been there done that luckily the top section of the seat wasn't bolted in at the time or i would have ended up going thru a window.
