Seats

So, after what, maybe 12 years give or take, my leather's about shot in my front seats. It was repaired before I bought it, but who doesn't just slide into a leather seat...so somtimes the buttons on my pants pockets will rip on the corner, so yah. I'd love to get some racing seats, and definately I'd love some racing belts. I did a search and found pics and whatnot in TL's, but not CL's. Anybody have aftermarket seats? Even if not, what do you think of them?

rsx seats bolt up with slight modification. S2K's too, but they're pricier and require a little more modification.

If I had the cash (and dark interior) I'd get S2K seats or a good set of racing seats (Bride, Recaro, MOMO come to mind). You can't go wrong either way.

^^yeah my bro could help me out if it were simple, he has racing seats in his el, had some s2 seats in his civic ek, and racing seats in his crx etc... etc... etc...
but i dunno if the electric plugs etc.. would match up to ours, that he prolly couldn't help me with.. looks like i gotta do some reasearch or something, cuz that would be sick as hell if i could get those in there

s2000 seat are gonna suck for a DD. they're really firm
rsx leathers are your best bet.

I also had the same problem with my seat being ripped. I ordered a seat off of ebay only to get it home and find out that its a heated seat. color and style is right but my old seats not heated.. anybody know what it would take to wire it up

id say cut the plugs off and wire it together like that. ive put buckets in my old 72 c10 that were electric the controls are self contained so theres really only a power and ground to wire.

i'm also gonna recommend 4th gen Prelude seats. but they're gonna be hard to find, the car is older than 1st gen CL. Mine are in pretty shit shape. really mint ones do pop up every now and then on forums..keeps your eyes open.

^oh ok, well i would have extra wiring to do anyways, cuz my stock seats aren't heated and i obviously want to make the heat work on the 2nd gen seats.
And agreed, i was driving my brothers ek with s2 seats in it for a couple of days before i got the cl, and they are way to firm and uncomfortable. My lower back would always kill me after driving in it, but they do give a nice low seat position, and good laterial support.
But i think it's just personal preference just like suspension, some people can't have a DD with stiff coilovers, while others love it like that.

that's why they invented heated/cooled leather seats, the best of all the situations.

S2k seats require swaping the bottom pan in order for the seat back to fold forward. otherwise you wont be able to use the back seat area.

i like the look of the s2k seats but they are made for small Asian frames i swear.
my brother has one and if we go for a long ride down to north carolina or something my back and hips will be killing me, they are very snugg.
but then again i am 6'4" 220 pounds so the s2k aint really made for me to fit in at all. My bro is a average sized guy and he says that he has no problems in them hes like 5'8" 175.

^ almost the same as me, only find that my lower back hurts tho and that's even after only 20 minute drives. I'm like 6'4" and 210ish, and my bro loves the s2 seats and he's under 6 feet and over 220ish lol i dunno how he fits
and no with the height of the s2 seats usually they are not meant for asians, my bro's asian gf drove his ek a bit when it had the s2 seats in and she had to struggle to see over the dash, it was soo funny watching here drive in that thing
