Seat Heater Problem
#2
the dumbnuts at Honda decided to route the wires for the heated seats in the ass part of the seat. this is bad because this is the part of the car that gets the most wear, plus what happens if there is an electrical fire?
anyways you could have one of three problems:
1. the wiring for the ass heaters is frayed
2. the heat pads for the ass stopped working
3. simply a fuse burned out
the dealership fixes this all the time...even the new Cls have had to go back to have this fixed. most people realize what the problem is when they have the seats reupholstered.
anyways, hope this helps.

ok, so my driver side is not working and the passager side is not working too well. so i took it in and the estimate to fix both is over $1,000 good thing i bought an aftermarket warranty (warranty gold - it's working for new customers, but i won't recommend it)
i wonder if it'll be cheaper just to replace both seats. since removing the heating element is a 3 hr job each, replacing for new seats should probably just be like a 1 hr job at the most. I need to suggest this to my dealer when i go back for them to get it fixed.

okay...here is what you do...leave your heated seats on for a really long time...wait for it to catch fire....then sue Acura...just a suggestion...J/k

read my post a lil up.
both of mine went out and it came out to be about $1100 from the dealer. so for 1 seat is like $550. it's not the part that's expensive, it's the labor. so if you think you can do it yourself, you should give it a try if you're out of warranty
