Seat Covers

Ok, so I have finaly made my dicision to get some seat covers because the leather on the front 2 seats is torn, and peeling, and I want to stuff the bottom of the drivers seat because the seat can't go up and I'm short, and of course, to protect the already ugly seats. I found some pretty good seat covers on ebay that matches the shape of our seats perfectly.

What do you guys think? What color would match the charcol '97 3.0p interior best, Solid black or solid grey? If the car was Inza Red Pearl like I wanted, I'd totaly get the black/red ones.

Oh, and forgot to mention, I am not buying any seats. I don't have the money. Period.
BTW, I have seen seat covers that I didn't even know were seat covers. some fit really good and look nice but the one-size-fits-all generic ones from wal-mart, or auto parts places fit like crap and look ghetto.

yeah, we suggest that they are not a good choice either fix the current state of your seats by bringing them to an upholstery shop or get new seats...

I searched "seat covers" and got nothing. As far as I know, this it the first seat cover thread.

Ok, I know some of you think that the seat covers look tacky but nothing looks worse than screwed up leather tearing from the stitching imo. I would rather it look tacky than ghetto. SO, which color would match the interior? black or gray? I have charcol interior.

BLACK........if seat covers works for you and fits your budget then go for it....atleast it would look clean every time you enter the car to drive and woun't bother you as much......

I am planning to get some seat towel cover as I sweat a lot when driving and I dont prefer to drive with the AC on if the wheather outside is not that hot.....foudn a couple and will be buying them...this is not only increase the life of the leather but also not wet the back of my shirt every tinme I get out of the car.....mind you my drive each way is close to 52 miles....so I need to get this ASAP....

later

seat covers are whack. either fork out the cash and get them redone/custom or leave it alone.

I just wanna clarify I'm all for protecting and preserving the leather, and work extremely hard to protect and treat it, and am even doing my own leather repairs on my seats as we speak. I'm not against seat covers since they do serve a purpose, if your seats are all worn out I'm not against you covering them up. I am against cheap ass $25 ricer universal seat covers. I would rather see you guys spend more money and buy some good protective covers rather than those cheap red or green covers

yeah no doubt, I toyed with getting my leather reskinned but wow the price for what i wanted was ridiculous, and since I wanna switch the seats out anyway, just didn't make sense

I actually rather like my Civic seats, nice and supportive where they need to be, and cushy where they dont need to be, same seats as the Si w/o the fancy black cloth and big fat "Si" on the front of it, I do miss an adjustable lumbar support. . . and obviously the leather smoothness

and id swap it out, but im fond of the side airbag thats contained within
