I was tellin one of my buddies my plan with the h22. than he told me to just put in the F20C which is the S2000 engine. So it got me thinking it has more hp, and a six speed, I've always wanted a six speed. So do you know of anyone that has tried putting the F20C into a 2.2CL? because that would be pimp $h!+.

 

That could never happen..the internals dont line up whatsover ..have u ever even looked inside the hood of an S2000 that will tell you right there it dont fit..

 

anything can work with alot of money. but lets get real your only 18 and im sure your not exactley swimming in money. im only 17 and was barely able to afford I/H and still spend money on other things that ppl of our age spend money on.

plus who would want to do that? h22 is a perfect fit, it makes sense to spend the money to get that in rather than the extra chunk of change to fit in something that wasn't supposed ot be in there... if you want an s2k engine, the best thing to do would be to.. get an s2k, lol

 

Ive seen a S2000 engine in a Hachiroku Corrola, shit looked soo funny, but it hauled ass!

I really dont think the F20C would push the CL , just like putting a B-series engine in our cars is worthless.

as many others would have already said.. its ALOT of work and doesnt seem to logical..with the money you try to do this crazy ass verticle mount RWD motor into a horizontally mounted fwd car you could have already had a turbo monster H22

how about you start by removing your entire interior. dash, seats, carpet everything. then put it up on jack stands and start pondering how you are going to redesign your front and rear suspension, what rear diffs will work and so on. Go inside and start up autocad and start dafting your desgins. Next you say, "OH SHIT" i don't how to use autocad! Damn better put everything back together and kick myself in the ass for listening to my friends dumb ass ideas. If I had the money I would do a galardo kit car wit an NSX engine, or better yet pay Jessey James big bucks to host monster garage on the cl idea.

theres an f20c powered FC(rx7) drift car down here.

as for the f20c being swapped into the cl.... it would require major modification to mount the engine. an example being the motor sits completely opposite as to ours. it'd be a cool project if you did all the custom fabrication yourself. for an average joe, it wouldnt be logical to plan on that swap unless you had 30k+$ to blow.

 

If he was gonna mount it for a FWD set up, hes also gonna have to adapt a FWD tranny to the F20 too since a RWD tranny is not gonna work. Unless he only want one wheel to be powered.

 

not to mention wiring up a custom harness for the engine and etc.

 

hahaha fuck that. That would take forever. Ive done a few and they take decades, alot of planning, and alot of trial and error.
