guys, how much does it cost (on average) to get your rotors replaced with new ones? actually, what do you think is a decent amount to pay to have your rotors replaced with brand new ones? thanks..

you could get the rotors shaved...it all depends on the thickness of the rotor itself...shaving rotors is a bit cheaper than getting new rotors. If you shave or get new rotors make sure you get new pads too. A full breakjob will probably run like 400-500 depending on cost of parts and labor. if you get it replaced at acura prepare for a raping.

fuck!!! fuck to me two times again. damn!!! it's getting done at the acura dealership. dammnnnnnnn!!! the bitch is charging me about $350 (for parts and labor) to replace them with new rotors. he is not working on the pads. he said i have 60% left on the pads and that should be good for now. do i really need new pads with 60% left?

p.s. i sound like a bitch a mechanics shop. lol

I always recommend getting new pads at the same time as new rotors.

I always get new rotors and pads rather than just getting the rotors "turned".

It's more expensive, but well worth it!

Less worry about the pads seating well against the "turned" rotors.

My front rotors have warped again and they are too thin to be turned again. I have found Brembo blanks for $100/pair and the guy said it would be about 1/2 hour labor (~$35 labor)

How do you know if your brakes are warped?

Everytime i press down on the brake it feels kinda spongy, when im holding my foot on the brake sometimes the brakes let go and the car moves. I have to pump the brakes again to stop the car.

Also im hearing my a noise when the car startes to move, when i brake the noise stops.

warped = vibration when braking

sounds like you need pads...usually the brake pad has a sensor that will rub against the rotor...that means the pad is low and needs to be replaced.
