Rim size?

Whats up ya'll?! Well lets c i'm bout to get some rims but i have no clue what size. Heres all the factors that need to be considered. First off i live here in Little rock (which does suck) and there r some really bumpy areas and i've planned on goin with the sportlines which will drop it bout 2" or so and i don't know if i should go with 17's or 18's and i do plan on racin alot. So ya'll help me with the decision before i make a dumb choice and mess my baby up.

Okay there are a few things to consider when bying rims i will just tell you from what my friends and i decided for their civics accords etc... im the only one out of them that has a CL well my friends that race with there rims on got 17's with a 40 profile tire more meat on the tire than 18's my friends that went for looks got 18's with a 35 profile tire less meaty tire then I know people that got 18's with the 35 profile tire that when they race just simply put on the stock rims and tires so its up to you but i say if you want to race with your rims on get the 17's with the 40 profile tire hope tjis helps good luck. I personally will get 18's and if i race will put on stocks

Hey modedgen1cl, Did you make a lower grill for your car? If so how did you do it? Everyone ive talked to so far has said cut out black stuff and either glue or zip-tie it in place. Is that what you did?

If you plan to race a lot, go with 17s, 40/45 series tires. Remember, the lighter the rims, the better.

well, i just bought rims & tires.. if you go 17's like me,..... get 17s on a 40/45.. i got 225/45 r17.. if you go 18.. go 35 or 40...
make sure you get the right offset.. stocks are a 50 offset.. the lowest we can get on 17x7 rim is 42.. GOOD LUCK!!!

If your looking to race I would get some light 17's with 40/45 series tire. If your going to drop your car 2" I am pretty sure that you are going to need a camber kit. Also check out some of the other CL's here, some of us have sportlines and some with prokit springs. If your in an area with alot of bumps you might want to go with the prokits.

the max should never be met.. when drivving and tires heat up.. air expands... you should be between id say 28-32 PSI.. no more no less... 30 is a safe bet, but if you here tires screetching... give 32

So you guys all suggest to go with 17's? I think I want to go with 18's, but since people are talking about the weight and the speed difference and the possibility of rubbing, etc. I'm not too sure...
