1st look i was impressed. some cool 18s and nice blue paint job. im thinkin that will look sweet. too bad no drop though.

the paint job is not my taste. if they would have only painted the whole thing blue and dropped it!

I think ill be on the show on the crowd shots and in the background, but im sure my cl made it becuase i parked right in the background for the drive away shot. I thought they would have did more to the car, but i found out they only had a $4000 budget so it was never supposed to be anything to crazy. Overall it was a good experience and I got to meet flex. most importantly i got the business card of the producer to send my resume for spring internship.

damn! im likin the 2 tone but w/o the tribal..thats gotta go....what else did they do? looks like the $4K just went towards paint & rims????....oh, and i might of missed it before but how the hell did you friend score gettin his car done by Flex?!?

 

Should of sent it to pimp my ride...at least, he could of got 6 tv's out of it with that paint job.

 

im a a comm major at penn state. production and promotions. i've only worked in radio professionally and am trying to get into tv to find out which i like better. i loved my vid production classes.

 

i forgot they put in a kenwood reciever and speakers. no subs. they also had team baurtwell embroidered into the headrests and painted on the back of the car. They also gave him an xbox and a bunch of games, but not for the car.

 

anndd how did he get his whip hooked up on the show by flex? did h just send them a letter and picts or did they find/pick him?

 

so it was all paint and no mods then? any intake? exhaust? interior mods?

did you get some shots of the interior mike?

nice paint jobs but i cant believe they didnt lower it at all

but still nice and i like the last pic, it goes with your collection of meeting famous people

bah.. not impressed. The two tone point would have looked good if it didn't have those pansy ass "links" in between it. It still has the damn clear corneres, and no drop. The whole lack of a drop makes it bad, but I guess it's just so they wouldn't have to spend TOO much tim eon it :P.

On you're car is that just a type-r front lip? Damn that shit looks a LOT better lowered with the type-r lip than I though it would. It doens't even need a body kit if it's lowered like that. How much of a drop is that?

 

Typical Flex pretty paint & rims but nothing else. You think they could spring for some $200 springs in place of that ghey tribal shite. The 2 tone doesnt look bad though.

when is the show supposed to air, did you ask anyone that was there filming so we know what day to watch the show?

 

the producer was in the area going to private schools looking for kids to subit pics of their cars. she stop for lunch at my friends fathers italian restaraunt. his brother runs it. she asked if he had a kid. he said yes. told her how he got into bad car accident, just graduated hs, balh blah ablha. she liked his story and had him meet her in ny with the 1st 98 2.3 cl auto. liked him and the car and said we got a deal! then 3 days later he totals the cl. thats the car that i got the rims and center console out from my previous posts. insurance gave him 13k he only paid 9 and he bought anonther 98 2.3cl 5spd. well now they had an even better story. so thats the whole story.

VXCL is the first with the molded front and rear lip on the car, and i think he is lowered 2 inches and on the lowest perch for koni yellows and i think there is about a finger gap if that

ghostmaster im dropped about 2.25" in the front and the lip is molded to the bumper. thats why it looks 100x better.

The car looks :ghey: I like your CL more mike. You have one of the cleanest CL's on the board, that CL looks terrible with triabls on it. Two tone, not bad though. Just my opinion, though. I thought it was going to be something unreal when it was all done, but a lot of board members have cars hotter than that :thumbsdn:

 

it just goes to show how much $$$ we have in our cls to make them unique.

ding ur car is lookin clean and sleek itslef! i just wish i had my rims.

VXCL im feeling your CL WAY more then the two tone tribal stuff, Clean black nice drop and kick ass rear lip & front lip. Just steal your buddies rims and your set Flex kinda made it look ricey

Flex didnt seem to have anythign to do with the car. they ahd to tell him everything to say. He knew nothing about it.

 

not sure. thats the 1st time i really talked to him. im friends with his cousin. im almost 5 yrs older then him. i dont really know what he likes or if they even asked him before they took it away.

It's not too bad at all. If anything, I'm sure he could make a few extra $$ if he wanted to sell it. Since it will be on Flex's show, it might catch the eye of someone who never noticed a CL before. It's wierd seening that paint. I can't remember a show where they painted a car like that. I've only seen solids w/ some rally stripes. This is the first time I've seen them do something other than a muscle car.

I wonder how many CL's people actually just LIKE around here I think yours (VXCL) is the only one where I never heard a negative comment on.

 

I'm not feeling the :ghey: tribal vinyl. The two tone is aight but It would of looked tighter all blue. All that is left for you to do is finish the look. First remove that gay vinyl. Then drop the CL 2.5". Add a WW front lip and clear corners. Finally get some performance under that hood. This way your car doesn't only have looks but some umph! to match. Your CL will then look sweet. By the way tight CL mike kinda looks like mines except for the projectors which are tight. Overall I expected more but what can you say it's true flex is all about paint and rims. Atleast you can finish what they didn't.

 

I kinda got mixed emotions on this one. I like the colors, i think the 2 tone looks good, but that tribal shit looks horrible. It woulda been much nicer had the paint been blended in. Wheels look good, but i cant believe they didnt drop it!

 

i dont like anything bout the ride. who thought up that tribal paint and two tone thing anyway
