Results from the Races Tonight....
Ran against a 350Z, Supercharged SI, Turbo LS, Mustang GT, 2003 SVT Cobra Mustang, 2 Type S DC5's, another DC2, and a few hb civics. Beat everyone at the races tonight except the Cobra. I finally installed my bottle warmer tonight as well, and damn did it make a difference. The bottle lasted way longer than expected.
Well the night started off as my friends as I were scoping out what cars would be a nice run. We finally realize the Supercharged SI was taking everyone out (aside form the Cobra, he came in later that night). So I go to hit up the SI and that guy says he doesn't run for fun, blah blah blah, money only. This guy was running for 10 bucks a race. I was like, that's it. I'll run you for $100 just for fun, if I lose, I lose, don't care. Well, the guy turned it down and didnt wanna run me for that much. So I have no one to run, and I'm getting bored.
So anyways, I go a couple of cars before the line, and just squeeze right off the launch just to do a burn out for fun, right as it's about to hit the rev limiter, I let go of the gas and BAM! Backfire like no other. I started laughing cause I thought I blew something, it always surprises me, lol. So after I do that, now no one really wants to run me. So I sit on my ass untill I hit up some slow eclipe which I kill by more than 2 cars before 3rd. After that the SI decides to run me, and I beat him spinning them in first and 2nd gear. We didn't run for money though, because he didnt want to. He had a big head the whole night, so after that, him and his friends took off, lol.
I go up against the 350Z after running a few other cars. I took the 350Z off the line, and started squeezing at around 3000 rpms. Well I start spinning them, and in 2nd I'm not getting very great traction, but I'm on him either way. I'm losing by about 1/2 car in the middle of second. By the end of 2nd I get some more traction, and by the middle of 3rd, I'm passing him by only beating him by a bumper at around 90-95mph. It was a nice run.
I ran against the Cobra, knowing I was going to lose. I take him off the line as well, and then start squeezing. Right as I do so, I start spinning them, and he just pulls away. There was nothing I could do. I lost by a car everytime against him. I ran him twice, and everytime I started to get traction, he would stop pulling, and would end the race by around 80mph. I think I could of had him if I had wider tires and didnt have such a damn traction issue.
Well to end the night, it was pretty funny. I race a eg civic, with a D series motor in it. By now, my tires are pretty warm, and I just launch it from the start for kicks. Well, I gave him a 2 car head start. We take off, and I start pulling right away. By the beginning of 2nd gear I'm getting good traction and start to reel him in. I'm about 1 car behind in 2nd gear, and then, bah bah bah bah bah....running rich as fuck. I'm out of nitrous, and he puts on his hazards, lol. He knew I ran out, and I had fun anyways. So I rep for the CL's tonight, and people kept asking what kind of car I had. Now they know...just a CL...

COcoa: Did you get your Type s cam in? You should double check too see if they are the wrong ones becaues on the V6 forum they kept messing up which is which. Even told me mine was wrong, but it turns out to be the correct ones.

Yea, I machined the wrong one. That's why they're not in, lol. Damn dealership had them in the wrong boxes.
CLPower, I've been dying to ask you where you got the direct port kit at? Wanna sell it to me? I'm going with a 150 shot by Monday, lol. That's when they should be in, that's what the shop told me.

wow that sucks. but you should get them in if you're still plannin on keepin the car. You could feel the difference for sure. I havent had a chance to dyno/tune yet since i still need my uncle to adjust the valves for me.

man you need to get an lsd installed from phantom grip and you woulnd't have such a hard time hooking up. sure you would slip still, but you wouldget it back a lot faster. after all that money I'd think you'd be able to dish out the $350 for the LSD conversion kit adn about $300 for the install or do it your self...

I never installed the DP, sold it along time ago. Just get their generic DP kit and call up Eric at www.streetimage.com He's killer w/ DP work.
Under NOOOOOOOOO circumstances do a dry 150 shot, or even wet IMO. DP is the way to go

would be a good run, when I went up to see the norcal crew for some races I was putting 2 cars on them w/ a 60 shot.

I left it in d3. I took CLPower's word for it a long time ago when he stated that gate shifting slows your 1/4 miles times, cause I find that to be true.

It's worth it but u'll have to get it machined. But if u know someone that will install for cheap then yes, it's really worth it. Cause if u don't, it's going to cost you, plus u'll have to get the valves re-adjusted too after driving it for a few thousand miles

yea i got someone that can machine the cam. i do all my own work so i think this will be the way to go... i cant wait.
how does the power difference feel. bout like the difference with headers? or more top end or bottom end power? i just want to make sure.
