Reset ECU to get rid of check engine light?
A few days ago i was playing with the car and i guess i started and shut off the car too many times in a short amount of time, and one time the check engine light never shut off and it remains on today.
I tried removing the ecu fuse for 15 min. or so but that didnt work. Is there anything else i can do to get rid of the light or do i have to take it somewhere to get it reset when most likely its just throwing some dumb code?

I had to take mine to honda to have them clear it with the diagnostic tool. I tried to pull both the ecu fuse, and the radio backup fuse, the light was still on. The code was the egr valve. I'm lucky that my friend is a honda tech and he cleared it for me for free. He said usually, they just clean the egr with the top end cleaner and it runs fine after.
yes, you can just disconnect the battery, but if you do that an hav ethe stock stereo deck still installed it will require a code to be activated again. I fyou don't have that, beusure you get it from an acura dealer before you do it.

Mike97 3.0P : thats good, you really only have to disconnect the battery though and that will clear the light.
ghost_masterCL : In the words of a car stereo ad, if you take shit...run it through 1200watts ,2 guage wiring, and some really nice 12's... you still end up with shit. Basically aftermarket decks put out a much stronger signal than a factory one can. Even if you dont have a system you will see improvements in clarity at louder volumes due to extra power on stock speakers. Also aftermarket decks have the capability to play mp3's, dvd's, removable faceplates for security, cool looking organic display's, and about 200 more combinations of equalizing than your stock cars bass+- & treble+-. You can benefit from all these features without even having a system if you choose to do so, although you will enjoy it a lot more if you do.
