replace dash wood trim...

replace dash wood trim...

i was thinking about replacing the dash wood trip on my 97 3.0 to silver titanium... not sure what it's called.

anyone know where i can find this replacement?

you can't find it. what you have to do is take each plastic piece out and sand them down and then you can paint them. That is what I did because I hate wood grain. Go to my www and you can see what it looks like being white it is much better. It will probably take you like 3 hours to take all the pieces out.

that looks so ill. i sand it down with regular sandpaper? and the paint?

also, i see that navy... when did you have that installed?

Wetsand it so it comes out as smooth as possible. You could just use regular sandpaper but get a really high grit like 1000+. Its a pretty simple process, though taking out the woodgrain in a 98-99 can be a pain in the ass, its not difficult, just time consuming.

someone here used high temp engine paint (gray silver)

thats all i know. i personally like the woodgrain
