removed decals, now shadows

ok guys, today i went to the store and got some goo gone. I heated up my declas with a hair dryer and sprayed some goo gone in the crevis. I took some floss and cut them off. I got all the tape off, now I have shadows, so I thot that was ok I'll juss wash and wax. well i washed and waxed. It's a lil better but I still have shadows, is there anything that I can get to get it all off?

Be carefull with the googone. If you used that, you may have damaged your clear coat.

Cold and patience will remove the glue. If you get it cold, it will ball up. If you use solvents like goo gone or goof off, you risk damaging the clear coat. get the metal cold, wipe it as clean as possible with a terry cloth then soap it, sponge it, wax on, wax off, buff and you are pimpin'. Use a solvent, and you will see the damage in direct sunlight or under intense halogen and or florescent lamps. It will look like there is a spot where something is missing... like a leasion on the paint.

actually i just recently took off my emblems off of my black CL. the best thing that i found was using Maguires Scratch remover. if that doesnt get it all off i went with Turtle Wax's Black Polish. It made it almost impossible to see the scratches and ghost effect. You can use rubbing compound and wax but i think that is far too much effort and the polish works great.

i just used goo gone. not too much tho, just enough to get the sticky stuff moving. after that, kinda just came off with a towl. MAKE SURE you clean the area afterm, that you used goo gone on, and then wax it
