Remote start for a 5spd?

Hey I was talking to a friend of mine and he mentioned that they have remote start for 5spds now. I already knew this but I was wondering if anyone knew who makes them. Are they any good? Disadvantages? Thanks in advance for all of the help.

I have the viper 550 esp on my 5 speed. Try to stick with DEI products. www.directed.com I really like it, its cool to show off and to warm up my car in the cold mornings. Only disadvantage is that you HAVE to make sure that your car is NOT in gear. Or else, its just gonna roll foward by itself.

i believe ANY remote starter can start a five speed. people jsut gotta know how to install them and usually they make you sign a release form.

Any remote start can be added onto a 5 speed. Trust me. I installed my own...I work at Best Buy's installation bay and am MECP certified. There's two wires above the clutch pedal that must be tied together. After that, you no longer have to push in the clutch to start the car. Pretty cool.....

Lots of shops don't like to do this though as its not a 'good' practice to do. But you can absolutly remote start a 5spd as long as you bypass the clutch like CLTECH said.

Yeah because some people are simple minded and leave it in gear and wonder why their cars roll away. Too bad a few fucked up people messed it up for everyone

The hard part is gonna be to get some one to install it because it is a 5sp. Dei clifford/viper/rattler has IMO the best alarms. Anyway make sure you dont leave it in gear and try to start it.
