Also be ready for your speakers to not fit if you have big magnets. I had to go buy a saw and MDF to cut some spacers. Haven't gotten aruond to it yet though cuz of xmas.

Has anyone tried putting 6.5" components back there rather than the 6x9's? I was watching Unique Whips last night, and they sid that 6x9's arent the best for sound, and if you can. To use 6.5" components.

That would have made my life a lot easier, they sell adapters for 6.5 to 6x9.

I dont think they make adaptors, But they would not be hard to make. You could make them out of pretty much anything. Plexi would probably be the easiest.

plexi tends to flex and the thicker stuff isnt cheap, mdf all the way

if you dont have subwoofers 6x9's would be my choice cause they reach lower than most 6.5" comps. if you do have subs, then 6.5" could be ok, but rear speakers are mainly for fill anyways so they dont have to sound great. In my car i only have front speakers and subs in the back, but its also a hatchback...
