Rear end Suspension Issues :ugh:

Rear end Suspension Issues :ugh:
Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but thought I'd give it a shot with this issue before i drop cash to get it fixed since ya guys are usually pretty good.
The rear driver's side wheel is toeing in (front end of the wheel is pointing in towards the middle) a decent amount and I'm not sure what's causing it.
Also, when backing up, the car makes a loud high-pitched screeching noise (almost like a horn) and makes a quiet grinding sometimes while driving which I can stop by tapping on the brakes.
Sounds like the crookedness of the wheel is causing the top of the caliper or wheel guard to rub either against the control arm or the rotor.
Anyway, the sounds aren't the concern.
I went to get my oil changed at a quick pull through place and asked their opinion. He said it was a "trail" arm issue (I think).. but said it could not easily be repaired by 1 person due to the independent suspension in the rear.
Anyone seen this happen before and know what I can do?
If pictures would help I can work on it asap.
Thanks in advance.

i had something similar happen, went for alignment after lowering it and had real bad toe in on the rear passenger side, took it to two shops for alignment(one suppose to be honda/acura specialists) and both said they couldn't get it in spec, the trailing arm was messed up, i replaced the trailing arm /spindle. went back and still had the same problem. examined the rear closely, the rear subframe had been scooted over from the prevoius owner sliding into something. i took it to a body shop with frame straightening skills/machine, they checked it corrected it and aligned it. works great no more wore tires.
if it is a bent trailing arm or rear suspension piece you can replace it by yourself, i did(1 person) but then you need to have it aligned to make sure it rolls straight

Also, it sounds like the trailing arm is what keeps the rear wheels from toeing in due to it having independent suspension.
Since this is the case (I think), how did you pull the rear axle apart yourself to replace the trailing arm...If you didnt have to, then how did ya replace it..
Also what kinda $ did you spend for the trailing arm/spindle and/or the subframe straightening?
Thanks in advance.

for me there was no way to tell what was bent except one tire had slightly more room on one side and bad toe in, it was hit or miss, both shops recommend replacing trailing arms. i replaced the complete passenger trailing arm and spindle with one from a non wrecked CL at a self serve salvage yard, parts cost me $90.
replacing it is bolt on, no rear axle just a hub/wheel bearing containted in the trailing arm that all bolts up to the frame.
all that was for nothing cause the prblem was in in the subframe, even after i relized the problem the body shop didn't belive me, till they couldn't figure it and looked at the rear subframe like i had asked them to. then it was like oh, yeah your rear sub frame's scooted over, cost $300 at the body shop for them to correctly repostion the subframe and align it again(3rd alignment)
