Really Quick Nitrous Question,plz Help
ok, so im goin with the forced induction idea on my 2.3,anyways this tread is not filled with repeatitive questions on wet or dry.I dont care about that. But it is rather simple,i really dont want a (push button) to have my nitrous to kick in, i read that ZEX has something with throttle response that when you floor it, it kicks in. Now if im comin off the line would it spray it in every gear, how much would it spray and for how long, how many times throuhout the race.Next, i found something from HKS i believe that is meant for nitrous, you plug it in to ur ecu or somewhere n you have different plugs for differnet RPM's, like a start and stop. Sounds awesome to me, have it kick in at 5,500 and spray until 6,000.My guess is that it would spray in every gear when i floor it when the bottle is on or open. It runs for around 200$, i found it a while ago, but i am haveing trouble finding it again,Anyways, any info on this stuff to help me out at all? PLease help me with ur knowlage, thanxx...

I'm not an expert on Nitrous but I'll try and help. Correct Zex, and many other nitrous systems operate on throttle position. For the zex kit, there will be an arming switch. Once you arm the nitrous it will spray when you floor it (aka wide open throttle).
Don't know much about that HKS thing you're talking about but If you want more precise control, you can get the Venom VCN-2000 Nitrous system, though it is pricey, you can hook it up to a palm pilot and control many variables. Another route you can take is to get a "Progressive Nitrous Controller." They also allow you to control nitrous delivery in order to have better launches and be able to jet different amounts at different RPMS. A popular one is the one by Holley systems (I think).

ok im sorry i didnt mean HKS, its by MSD, i cannot get a link going because im stupid, but if you are interested in seeing it, www.horsepowerfreaks.com, then put in acura and then CL the nitrous, then to switches and you should see it. "RPM ACTIVATED WINDOW SWITCH"....pleaz help..

if you dont want to use a button, get a throttle body trigger or a trigger that is activated when you gun it.. (talked about above) your writing about nitrous is wrong.. you dont need some kind of activation bs.. the nitrous will pound your motor till you let off.. it doesnt spray in cycles and you wouldnt want it to only run at RPM windows.. you would want it to hit only whne you pin it.. dont waste your money on other crap.. zex wet kit is the safest.. most power with a zex CAI/SR cone fitler tho..

you will need an 'arm/disarm' switch so that its not always on.. thats what a remote bottle opener is for on top of the switch also you dont want nitrous in your lines.. in case of police..

so if i just got with the zex kit, when i slam it, floor it etc. and the bottle is open and i have an auto, (not sure if it matters) but say im in 1st and i gun it it will spray nitrous from 1st to fourth of i do not let of the throttle and floor it the whole time?
