Is this for real??

This guys is selling an Cold Air INtake that fits a 97-98 2.2 AND a 97-99 3.0. IF this is real, would it fit a 98 2.3?

RARE OBX RACING 97-98 ACURA 2.2 CL/97-99 3.0 CL AIR INTAKE Let your car BREATHE and add a few HPs!!! It is BRAND NEW and in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
It was installed only to check for proper fitment. The car was sold so this item will no longer be needed.

Thats what I am thinking. I have never heard anyone talking about a CAI for 98 2.3. Just wondering if the thing even exists?

Well you can get a short ram or a CAI for both the 3.0 and the 2.2/2.3 but they are different for both engines so i dont get how it could fit for both cars I would email him and ask what he had it on

It's not a CAI it's a short ram. if your looking to get a short ram there are cheaper ones out there. If you want a CAI for a 2.3 search on Ebay for '94-97 Accord Intake' and look for the cold air ones.

I concur! It's definitely for the 3.0! I have the exact same model (in chrome). I sent the guy an e-mail a day or two ago, but no response!

Thanks dcsquirm88!! By the way. Is your battery facing the wrong way? It looks like a tight fit with the CAI and the positive battery terminal. My terminals face the other way and have a ton of room for wires-even with the factory fog lights wiring.

Anyway thanks a bunch and I do believe I will be adding this mod to my CL.

This board has been very helpfull to me. If anyone needs a part of the HELMS manual, let me know.

[For the 2.2's]...Some CAI's have 1 hose (I guess where you supposedly have to plug off the hoses to silencer/resonator] but I see a Weapon R that's advertised having 3 hoses...i was just wondering if it's going to make a difference between which one I got and even if the Weapon R one really uses three hoses.

Here's the ebay link: 2.2 Intake (w/ 3 hoses)

What's the deal with the diff # of hoses?

Fode I doubt this guy is going to have a nitrous system that likes to back fire, so he doesn't have to worry about his filter blowing up. But those sponge filters do suck, they are a pain to clean.

I think your just getting a extra......I don't think the tube has 3 holes for it......you might wanna check Weapon R's web site.
